The 饭(FAN) culture

The word 饭 in Chinese is pronounced ‘fan’ which means cooked rice. In Chinese, the expression of eating cooked rice,吃(chi)饭(fan), actually means to dine or to eat. The profoundness of Chinese food culture, and the great significance dining contains for the Chinese people can all be rooted back to this expression and the word 饭(fan).
